Roasted Cabbage & Bacon for an easy quick win!
At the Venice airbnb, I have access to an oven. Yeah!!! So I’m a little sad I’m leaving for a few days to rough it in Bel Air. I was just about to whip up some treats to share with my new friends from New Zealand & Denmark. (This week, I hosted my new friends and we went to check out the Museum of Contemporary Art and everyone wants to get a look at Hollywood.)
But alas, we’ll actually make this recipe next week, but we didn’t want to miss out on sharing it for Cabbage week. I’ll be sure to post pics on Instagram of our “cabbage dinner”. But I’m very happy to say that I’m confident this will turn out good as I’m no stranger to roasting brussels sprouts with bacon and how that turns out for smiles around the table. I love the Kitchn and they have some great cabbage recipes to check out. Here’s one that’s super easy and pleasing to the taste buds.
What you’ll need:
- Whole head of Cabbage
- Olive oil
- Salt & Pepper
Stretch Tip – Roast potatoes in the pan about 10 minutes before adding the cabbage & bacon. This way, you’ll have a much more filling meal. If dining alone, you can foil up the wedges and potatoes and store them in the fridge for lunch and dinner the next day.
