Easy Peasy Black Eyed Peas in a Crockpot

There’s a lot of vegetables going on in this one… Maybe a bit even too much for me. GIVE ME THE PEAS PLEASE!  I love the hearty taste of beans. So I’d scale back the veggies to a cup or cup in a half.

Either way, this Pillsbury recipe will undoubtedly make it easy because it’s a slow cooker and when you return from work, you’ll have dinner right there!

What you’ll need:

  • Black-eyed peas
  • Chicken broth
  • Onions
  • Jalapeño (optional)
  • Dried Thyme leaves
  • Garlic
  • Bay Leaf
  • Smoked Turkey Leg
  • Red Pepper Sauce (optional)
  • Salt
  • Pepper
