We’ve got a new Team Member…

 

Ashley Vangel is a registered dietitian and a licensed dietitian in the state of Texas. She graduated from Framingham State University, majoring in nutrition and dietetics and she completed her dietetic internship at the University of Connecticut. She recently moved to Austin from Boston where she worked as a clinical dietitian for over 3 years. In her previous positions she provided nutrition workshops on a number of nutrition topics. She also provided individualized nutrition counseling to promote healthy eating behavior on a budget. While holding a full time position, she spent time volunteering as a nutrition instructor for Cooking Matters, a part of Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry Campaign. In this role she covered topics about meal preparation, grocery shopping, food budgeting, and nutrition. She currently follows a plant-based diet and highly encourages this lifestyle among peers and clients of her own because of its health benefits and affordability.
